Calzadilla de los Hermanillos is a small town that is passed by the Via Traiana, the old Roman road that runs parallel with the Camino Frances and ends up in Mansilla de las Mulas from Sahagun. Despite being a very small settlement, there are two Albergues and one restaurant here.
Right before entering the small village, you pass by a picnic area and an inviting swing of a playground. That brings a refreshing change in the row of the vast agricultural areas before and after Calzadilla.
One can join the French Way at any time as it is not far from the roman road. In fact, the French Way which has much more foot traffic is just on the left, a mere 5 km away from El Burgo Ranero.
