Grañón

Grañón is a small village in La Rioja, right after Santo Domingo de la Calzada. The town is in the neighborhood of a castle raised by Alfonso III in the 10th century.

Two hospitals are located in this locality, and the church of San Juan, which was constructed in the 14th century, has in its interior the most valuable greater altarpiece, constructed between 1545 and 1556, by Natuera Borgoñón and Bernal Forment. The church houses one of the existing Albergues.
