The medieval village of Navarrete is located from 11km from Logroño on the slopes of Tedeón Hill.
Next to the old road, just before arriving at Navarrete, recent archaeological excavations have brought to light a hospital of pilgrims ordered to construct at the end of the 12th century by Maria Ramirez.
On the top of the hill rises the church of Asunción, a magnificent building of the 16th century.
