Samos is a small locality on the banks of the Ouribio river. Its most prominent institute is the Monastery of Samos, founded and built in the 6th century.
Monasterio de Samos
The original 6th-century monastery was rebuilt ten centuries later. Today’s massive building includes two cloisters and a church. They were constructed under the tuition of Juan Vasquez. The place also serves as a refuge for pilgrims.
